There is a large misconception regarding WordPress. “It’s for a blog”. “It’s for super small websites”. “It’s not professional to have a WordPress website”.

You may have heard all those arguments, but did you know WordPress is used by some of the largest online corporations? Not only does it help get your website online sooner, but it gives you a simple way to modify your website’s content.

Here are some facts and information to help the misguided folks:

WordPress provides an intuitive and powerful content management system which will allow you to update your website’s content seamlessly. WordPress is currently used by over 74 million websites, which is about 20% of the web.

The Content Management System (CMS) is fully customizable, allowing you to have a a custom website design with all the specific functionality you require. Partnering WordPress with a great developer will assure your website performs the way you need it to.

Being community-driven, WordPress has the largest plugin database compared to it’s competition, and it’s massive library will expedite the development process. Specific plugins like LayerSlider will help drive your websites’ animations, or Contact Form 7 which provides the tools to build a beautiful contact form.

Compared to other CMS’s, like Drupal or Joomla, WordPress is a lot easier to use. It only takes me about 30 minutes to train my clients on the system, after which they feel comfortable taking control of their website’s content themselves!
