What’s the best shared hosting company?

What shared hosting company do you recommend?
This is a question we get asked a lot. There are so many providers out there – too many to even count. And website hosting is not something you want skimp on. When it comes to hosting, you want something reliable, fast, and worry-free.
Too many providers oversell and limit your usage. Hostgator, Bluehost, Godaddy are all companies our clients have hosted with in the past. We’ve noticed that these client’s websites are just slower than the rest. The sheer volume of sites these hosts support on a single server is just unsustainable.
Imagine you have the best apple pie in Toronto. This pie represents the server your website is hosted on. A great host will give you a nice big slice of this delicious pie. This satisfies you and fills you up. A bad host will give you a very small sliver of this pie – just enough to give you a taste of this delicious pie, but not enough to fill you up.
Which would you rather have; a small sliver or a big slice of pie?
Obviously that big slice of pie because if you only got a taste, you’ll never be satisfied. The same is true with your website. If your website only gets a small sliver of the servers resources, your website will load slow.
And as you might have guessed, slow websites are bad for business. More users dropped and a lower search ranking.
That’s why a great hosting company is essential. That being said, I have yet to find a shared host I would personally recommend to any of my customers and is exactly why we host the majority of our clients. So to answer the question, none of them.
